According to USNews.com the average cost for a full year of child care for a 4 year-old in Massachusetts is about $11,700, while care for an infant is about $15,000. The vast difference in price between the two is attributed to the fact that infants require more work and a smaller staff to child ratio. This amount of money is astronomical even for a middle class couple to handle, but every day all over the nation 13.7 million single parents are providing for their 21.8 million children.USNews Article

ReplyDeleteYes even single dads! I know in the video they talk about single moms and I think that's just due to the fact that there is a greater population of them, but ANY single parent who meets the criteria regardless of gender is eligible to participate in the program.
